Waikoloa Beach Resort is a bustling beach-side playground of 1,300+ acres set amidst the black lava and golden sands of A’naeho’omalu Bay, or as residents refer to it simply, “A-Bay”. An easy 25 minute drive north of the Kona International Airport, the resort is anchored by the majestic Waikoloa Beach Hilton hotel. The resort was largely developed in the mid-late 1980’s and features two resort-friendly 18 hole golf courses, two open air shopping centers with abundant dining and a second beachfront hotel - the recently renovated Marriott Waikoloa Beach Resort.

During our winter high season, Humback Whales can easily be seen frolicking right off the beach at A-bay! I highly recommend a sunset Mai Tai at Lava Lava Beach Club followed by a delicious meal at Roy’s Waikoloa Bar and Grill.
